Zhono Core Patents Receive China Patent Excellence Award for Second Consecutive Year
In the first half of 2025, the China National Intellectual Property Administration announced that Zhono's core patent, "A Method for Secure Programming of Printing Firmware, Chip, and Printing Supplies," has been honored with the 25th China Patent Excellence Award.
Zhono is one of the few printer chip enterprises in recent years to earn this national-level award for two consecutive years. Title of Achievement: Imaging Cartridge Chip, Multi-Functional Programmer, and Processing Device (Patent No.: ZL201410856132.4)
This invention enables precise programming of matched firmware and data information through a multi-functional programmer that integrates and stores multiple sets of communication protocols and chip data and automatically identifies imaging cartridge chip models. Compared with existing technologies, this device supports the integrated processing of multiple chip models, thereby streamlining operations by avoiding the tedious debugging cycles of traditional approaches, and significantly improving programming efficiency and accuracy.

This invention represents a significant advancement over existing technologies by innovatively introducing a bidirectional security encryption mechanism. Unlike traditional methods, this invention implements encryption within the printing firmware acquisition process. After the terminal device obtains the printer model, it enhances the encryption strength and provides feedback to the cloud server, while also strengthening the authentication measures. Consequently, it significantly improves the security and reliability of firmware programming, effectively reduces the risk of firmware data leakage, and protects user interests.
