The Progeasy Update is a smart handheld device with replaceable pinboards, designed for the printing consumables industry. Once connected to the internet, it enables instant chip upgrades upon contact, streamlining firmware updates in three simple steps. This solution empowers global toner cartridge factories and traders with an efficient "Contact-to-Upgrade" method, resolving printer firmware upgrade challenges.

Operation Steps

1. Pinboard Installation | Insert the pinboard into the Progeasy Update head. |
2. Power On | Press and hold power button on the side for 3-5 seconds. |
3. Network Connection | 1. Click the gear icon in the bottom right to enter [Settings]. 2. Click the refresh icon in the top right → Select Wi-Fi network → Enter password → Click checkmark (✓) *Wi-Fi indicator lights up when connected.* |
4. Chip Upgrade | 1. After connecting to the network, the [System Loading] prompt appears. Please wait a few seconds to enter the upgrade interface. 2. Press the pins against the chip and hold for 10 seconds until the upgrade completes. |

FAQs
Q1: Model Selection
With the Progeasy Update, users don’t need to manually select chip models. When connected to the internet, the device automatically identifies and updates chips upon contact, displaying the result. It’s fast, efficient, and easy to use—even for beginners.
Q2: Supported Models
Currently, Progeasy Update supports chip models: CF258A/CF259A/CF276A/CF258X/CF259X/CF276X/W2020A/W2030A/W2040A.
For additional chip models, please contact your sales representative.
In the future, we will continue to support additional models based on market demand.
*NOTE: This device currently supports only Zhono chips.
Q3: Pinboard Purchase
The Progeasy Update consists of a Progeasy Update Head and a Pinboard.
If users need to upgrade two different chip series, the corresponding two pinboards are required. The Progeasy Update Head is compatible with different brands and chip series, significantly reducing costs. For pinboard pricing, please contact your sales representative.
Q4: Network Connection
1. Progeasy Update currently does not support public Wi-Fi requiring web login verification (e.g., Wi-Fi in airports, hotels, etc.).
2. This device automatically reconnects to previously authorized Wi-Fi networks when powered on.
3. If your Wi-Fi isn’t listed, please click the refresh icon in the top right.
4. For optimal performance, connect to a strong Wi-Fi signal, and keep the Progeasy Update as close as possible to the hotspot during use. For example, if you're using a laptop to create a hotspot, the Progeasy Update may not function properly if it is more than 10 meters away from the laptop due to a weakened signal.
Q5: Contact between Pins and the Chip
1. Ensure proper alignment between the pins and the chip contact points during updates. Please refer to the diagram shown on the screen.
2. Please maintain contact between the pins and the chip during the upgrade process.
3. When the pins touch the chip, the prompt [Chip Detected!] appears, followed by the [Downloading] prompt.
4. Upgrades take approximately 10 seconds. The upgrade time may vary depending on network conditions.
5. After a successful upgrade, the prompt [Update Success!] appears. The prompt [Latest Version] displays when you update the same chip again.
6. For chips that have already been updated, the prompt [Latest Version] will appear.
